A 'Knitting for Olive' design - PDF or Printed Pattern 

The Rail Sweater is knitted in the round, from the top down.

The sweater has a circular yoke and is knitted with ridges and ribbed edges.

The sweater can be made with different coloured ridges; the instructions for the striped sweater are indicated in the pattern as Striped Sweater

Sizes: 6 (9, 12-18 months // 2, 4, 6, 8, 10) years

Full length from shoulder: approx. 26 (28, 32 // 35, 40, 45, 50, 55) cm or desired length

Width across chest: approx. 24 (26, 29 // 32, 35, 38, 41, 44) cm

Inner sleeve length: 18 (19, 20 // 21, 25, 28, 33, 37) cm

Needles: 3.5 mm and 4.5 mm circular needles and double pointed needles

Gauge: 18 m x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4”x4”) using 4.5 mm needles in st st

Yarn: Knitting for Olive’s Heavy Merino, yardage approx. 110 m per  50g balls 

Yarn requirements: One colour sweater: 150 (150, 150 // 200, 250, 250, 300, 300) gms

Striped sweater: colour 1+2: 100+50 (100+50, 100+50 //100+100, 150+100, 150+100, 200+100, 200+100) g
