Fern Scarf Kit

A 'Knitting for Olive' design  

Fern Scarf is worked in a simple and decorative eyelet pattern – the familiar Fern stitch pattern from the Fern Sweater and Fern Tee.The scarf is worked in the round as a cylinder with open ends. There is no right side or wrong side, and the double layer also means that the scarf is extra cozy and warm. Full pattern information is below.

Gauge (after blocking): 24 sts and 36 rows = 10 cm in Fern stitch pattern with 4.5 mm needles

Other Requirements:

• needles: 4.5 mm circular needle, or in size to obtain gauge
• stitch markers
• tapestry needle

All colour options of Knitting for Olive yarn available instore may be used for this kit- please call or put your colour request in your order

Individual Paper Pattern may only be purchased instore

You start working the first ribbed edge before continuing with the Fern stitch pattern and ending with the second ribbed edge.

Sizes: One Size

Finished measurements: Length: approx. 230cm ; Width: approx. 25cm

Yarn: 1 strand of Knitting for Olive Merino (250m/50g), fingering-weight yarn, 6 balls + 1 strand of Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (225m/25g), lace-weight yarn, 6 balls. 

Yarn substitutions: Either 1 strand Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino (125m/50g), worsted weight yarn or 2 strands Knitting for Olive Merino

Needles: 4.5 mm circular needle, or in size to obtain gauge

Gauge (after blocking): 24 sts and 36 rows = 10 cm in Fern stitch pattern with 4.5 mm needles
