A 'Knitting for Olive' design  

Garter Cardigan is a simple and easy-to-knit cardigan in garter stitch worked from the top down using 1 strand of either Merino or Cotton Merino. It is worked back and forth with raglan increases on
the yoke that create a simple and decorative eyelet pattern along both sides of the raglan seams. The
sleeves are intended to be worked back and forth and seamed along the underarms at the end but they can be worked in the round if preferred instead. Full pattern information is below.

Gauge (after blocking): 28 sts and 56 rows = 10 cm in garter stitch with 3mm needles

Other Requirements:

  • needles: 2.5mm and 3mm circular needles and 3mm double-pointed needles, or in size to obtain gauge
  • stitch markers
  • stitch holders
  • 6 (6, 7, 7, 8, 9, 9) buttons (diameter: 12mm)
  • tapestry needle

Knitting for Olive Merino maybe be substituted for Knitting for Olive Cotton Merino

Finished measurements: Length from shoulder to edge: approx. 22 (24, 26, 28, 30, 33, 35) cm, Chest circumference: approx. 40 (44, 49, 51, 54, 57, 60) cm ; Sleeve length from underarm to edge: approx. 13 (14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23) cm

 

Yarn: Knitting for Olive Merino, Cotton Merino or Pure Silk (250m/ 50g), 2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3) balls. Sample is in Merino in Plum Clay & Cotton Merino Blueberry Ice-cream colorway
