Notes on the Fair Isle Technique
We recommend using the Fair Isle technique when working in the round with multiple colors at the same time. On those rounds of the chart where you alternate between colours, both the strand with the main colour and the strand with the contrast colour are carried at the back of the work, creating horizontal strands,or floats, on the wrong side of your work. When you knit using the main colour, the strand of contrast colour travels behind the stitches until it is ready to be used again, and vice versa.

Chart Notes
When you work from charts, always start from the bottom right corner with the first stitch of Row 1 (unless the pattern indicates otherwise), and work the chart from the bottom up. If you are working in the round, work the chart from right to left on all rounds. If you are working back and forth, work the chart from right to left on odd numbered rows (RS) and from left to right on even numbered rows (WS). If there is a grey area indicating repeats in the chart, you start with the stitches on the right-hand side of the grey area and work these one time first. Then you work and repeat the grey area as many times as indicated or possible and end by working the stitches on the left-hand side of the grey area one time
