Learn to Embroider - Schwalm
'Openwork Bud' by Julie Clemett
This project is one section of Julie's 'A European Tour of Drawn Thread Embroidery' and a good example of Schwalm whitework. The workshop will teach you all the stitches required and is held over two Saturdays which will allow you time to master the stitches being taught between workshops
Day 1: Coral Stitch, Chain Stitch, Fly Stitch
Day 2: Cutting threads, filling and finishing design
This workshop would suit an embroider who is wanting to learn a new stitching technique
Tutor: Julie Clemett (JCEmbroidery) who has a wide range of embroidery interests but particularly enjoys using and combining traditional techniques into modern projects. Julie enjoys assisting students to master a new technique, building their confidence and to appreciate their developing talents
Workshop is limited to 10 spaces
Workshop Kit contains: design template, stitch guide, linen fabric, needle and the Cotton a Broder threads required. You will need to bring hoop and scissors.
